Governor Lamont’s action this week is just another chapter in the legacy of Connecticut Elections
April 9, 2024
BRANFORD, Conn—Dominic Rapini – the Republican endorsed candidate for Secretary of the State - blasted Governor Ned Lamont on his suspension of supervised absentee ballot voting for the August 9, 2022 primary.
“How we conduct our elections matters. We have supervised absentee voting for a reason,” Dominic Rapini said. “The suspension compromises the integrity of the vote and opens the door for fraud and abuse.”
There are about 20,000 residents in Connecticut’s nursing homes and this measure will directly affect all of them. There are common-sense solutions that we can implement that will protect the health of our most vulnerable while protecting the sanctity of their vote.
“Connecticut elections are already tainted by stories of missing & magically appearing ballots, polling stations open past 8:00 pm, and landlords in Bridgeport that steal their tenants’ identities to create fake absentee ballots. Governor Lamont’s action this week is just another chapter in the legacy of Connecticut Elections.”
Rapini concluded: With so many problems, now we know why Governor Lamont is trying to hire a Ministry of Truth.
